Bio

Steve Shaw is the creator of HammerDB and founder of HammerDB Ltd. A former Intel Principal Engineer, he has spent much of his career deep in database performance engineering. HammerDB started with Oracle RAC performance testing and kept growing as the database world changed, adding the platforms that matter to engineers in the real world: SQL Server, Db2, MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL.

HammerDB is now hosted by the TPC-Council through the TPC-OSS initiative and has passed over one million downloads. It is used across the database industry, with published benchmark work from major technology companies including Microsoft, AWS, Oracle, Databricks and Snowflake.
