Bio
Javier Zon is a database and platform engineer with more than 20 years of experience working with large-scale data systems and open source technologies. He began his journey in the MySQL ecosystem many years ago and later joined Percona, where he worked with the Remote DBA team supporting companies running mission-critical databases in production.
During his time at Percona, Javier helped customers solve complex performance and scalability challenges while also contributing to the growth of the community in Latin America, speaking at events across Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay. Those experiences shaped his passion for sharing practical knowledge with engineers operating real systems at scale.
Today Javier focuses on modern data architectures that combine traditional databases with streaming platforms and distributed systems. His work centers on helping teams design reliable platforms, troubleshoot difficult production problems, and evolve database infrastructures to support the next generation of applications.
