Federica Marrella is a PhD researcher in Design at the University of Parma, Italy, and a Visiting PhD Researcher at the Inclusive AI Lab, Utrecht University. With a background in industrial design and user experience design, her work explores the intersections of feminism, design justice, and social transformation. Her current doctoral research examines how institutions design and govern AI systems, with a focus on human-AI interaction in conversational technologies, and the power relations embedded in their development and implementation.
