Prompt-to-Performance: Speeding Up Database Administration with AI and Claude Code

Traditional query tuning is a manual, iterative process. But what happens when you point an agentic AI at your entire repository? I will walk through a live demonstration of Claude Code performing full-stack query optimization against a real-world codebase and an Aurora RDS environment. We will explore how AI interprets execution plans, identifies missing indexes, and suggests code-level refactors. While the demo features RDS, we’ll discuss how to adapt these patterns for any platform, including Postgres and Mongo by digging into the Skills that the AI can use.
