Session Friday, Sep 11 2:35pm – 3:05pm Matterhorn 2

Benchmark numbers are easy to produce and hard to trust. Without a common reference point, every result stands in splendid isolation.

HammerDB is different. It provides a trusted open-source benchmark suite hosted by the TPC-Council through the TPC-OSS initiative, with transactional and analytical workloads runnable across MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL as well as Oracle, SQL Server and IBM Db2 on Windows and Linux.

This session shows how HammerDB v6.0 moves beyond the benchmark score with automated CI testing and comparative performance profiles, turning isolated test runs into actionable insight. For MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL, HammerDB v6.0 also adds session-history-style visibility, showing what the database was actually waiting on during the run.

HammerDB has already helped make MariaDB faster by exposing bottlenecks clearly enough for engineers to fix them. The session will also show how HammerDB v6.0 packages benchmark results into reports that can be shared with the TPC-OSS, supporting greater transparency, reproducibility and trust in database performance testing.
