10 tools for your o11y stack

Implementing observability for your team can be a complex challenge, this talk will highlight 10 Open Source tools that are really useful for your o11y stack and even how to start using them.
When building up an Open Source o11y stack you quickly ended up running a large variety of tools, ranging from data collection (256 different exporters), data storage (Prometheus, Cortex, Thanos, Mimir ), log aggregation (fluentbit, opensearch) and tracing tools (Jaeger, opensearch ), data processing (logstash, otelcollector, …), data visualisation (Grafana, Perses, ..) So this setup quickly becomes complex and heavy to manage and you didn’t even have good integration yet.
This talk documents the solution I eventually ended up with and how easy it is to run and manage it.
